So2Sat Kickoff Meeting

The Kick-off meeting of So2Sat was successfully held in Earth Observation Center of German Aerospace Center (DLR). In total more than 30 participants, including cooperation partners from Institute of Remote Sensing Technology, DLR, German Remote Sensing Data Center, DLR, as well as experts from Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ), attended the meeting. We presented preliminary research findings on fusion of social media and remote sensing data, discussed future challenges, and fixed our short-term goal. With all the SiPEO member, we would like to sincerely thank the great support from the cooperation partners for the fruitful discussion, as well as especially thank to Dr. Jens Weismüller from LRZ.
