Due to the threat from SARS CoV 2, the SAMPE Germany Symposium had to take place virtually this year for the first time. When Munich and thus TUM's LCC were chosen to host SAMPE Germany 2021, as usual, a two-day physical meeting was planned. Unfortunately, this could not be achieved. Nevertheless, a virtual conference with 14 exciting lectures from science and industry took place on February 9, 2021. With 315 registered participants and up to 195 simultaneous listeners as well as a smooth transmission, the event was a complete success. Many thanks to everyone who contributed and was there. We look forward to seeing you all again next year at SAMPE Germany 2022 in Munich. Then hopefully in physical presence. See you!
